Rodan + Fields® Prescription for Change™ Foundation Announces Newest Philanthropic Partnership with buildOn
San Francisco, Calif. — January 17, 2014 — Rodan + Fields® Prescription for Change™ Foundation (PFC) (https://www.rodanandfields.com/ca/giving-back) continues to expand its national impact with the announcement of its latest partnership with the non-profit buildOn, an organization whose goals are to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through youth services and education. The Foundation has committed $10,000 in support of buildOn's expansion efforts into the state of Florida.
Through service, buildOn students learn to see themselves as the solution, not the problem. This powerful shift in thinking changes their individual outlook as well as the future of their communities.
"Our business is about helping people create opportunities to redefine their future. Our foundation is at the core of this mission," said Amnon Rodan, Rodan + Fields Chairman. "We are thrilled to be partnering with an organization that encourages youth to redefine their expectations for the future in a positive way."
buildOn was chosen by Rodan + Fields PFC Foundation because of its alignment with the PFC Foundation's mission of restoring hope and bright futures. The grant will work to expand student chapters in Florida, a region where Rodan + Fields Independent Consultants have generously supported the PFC Foundation.
"We are absolutely delighted that Rodan + Fields has made such a generous financial donation to help implement buildOn's efforts in Florida," declared Tom Silverman, buildOn Global Chapter Manager. "This partnership will directly help buildOn chapters made up of students, teachers and community members come together around service either locally or abroad. Together we can truly make a difference."
