WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CLOGGED PORE AND A BLACKHEAD?

Clogged pores are flat, greyish in tone and enlarged at the surface of skin often showing up on your nose, forehead or chin. A build-up of excess sebum (skin’s natural oil), debris and dead skin cells deep within that leads to visible congestion, stretching and enlargement of pores.

Blackheads are dark, hardened and slightly raised at the surface. This is a pore that has been clogged long and is exposed to air causing the buildup to oxidize and turn black.

Both clogged pores and blackheads can lead to breakouts.
