REVERSE Regimen

Our Reverse skincare routine for dull skin instantly brightens skin, visibly evens tone and refines uneven texture with a powerful blend of 10% stabilized Vitamin C, retinoid technology + patented RF3 Antioxidant Complex. Over time, dark spots, discoloration and sun damage caused by environmental aggressors and UV exposure visibly diminish to reveal clearer, more luminous, younger-looking skin.

This next-level Multi-Med brightening skin care routine uses the right ingredients, working together in the right formulations, layered on skin in the right order to tackle and prevent more types of visible discoloration including dark marks, sunspots and unwanted freckles.

During the day, patented RF3 Antioxidant Complex + Niacinamide protect against the appearance of discoloration + visibly even skin tone, while Licorice Extract keeps skin calm. At night, 10% Vitamin C + Kojic Acid brighten skin tone and diminish visible discoloration, while Innovative Retinoid Technology revitalizes skin texture for smoother, more radiant-looking skin.

There is no limit to how long you can use the Reverse Regimen. However, once you have addressed your skin dullness and/or discoloration concerns, you may choose to transition to another Rodan + Fields Regimen if you have additional skincare concerns. Frequently, Reverse Regimen Customers choose to transition to our Redefine Regimen to address the appearance of lines, pores and loss of firmness, but may transition back to Reverse Regimen as needed for brighter skin.

Visible brown spots on the skin’s surface indicate more damage below. If dullness or discoloration is your primary concern, we developed the Reverse Regimen to be a full-face solution to address both the visible signs of sun damage, as well as those less visible signs.

For those stubborn dark marks and patches that just won’t go away, we suggest using Targeted Dark Spot Corrector with your Regimen for boosted results.

Even if you are a current user of Reverse Brightening, we encourage you to go through the ramp up process to make sure you don’t experience any unwanted dryness or irritation caused by trying new products.

To ramp up we suggest using the Reverse Deep Exfoliating Cleanser, Reverse Intensive Brightening Toner, and Reverse Tone Correcting Treatment once every other day for the first week. Increase to twice daily as tolerated. Use a gentle cleanser, toner, and moisturizer when not using the Regimen.

Retinol and Vitamin C are both powerful anti-aging skincare ingredients. In our clinical study, 73% of participants noticed fewer fines lines and smoother skin after just 4 weeks of use.

A high concentration of Vitamin C can cause a warming sensation on the skin, especially for those who are more sensitive to it. Reverse Tone Correcting Treatment features a 10% Vitamin C blend. Even if you are a current user of Reverse Brightening, we encourage you to go through the ramp up process to make sure you don’t experience any unwanted dryness or irritation from trying new products.

The Reverse Regimen is designed to address the appearance of uneven skin tone and gently clears away dead, dulling, discolored skin cells. It does not promise to permanently fade or lighten brown spots and other skin tone unevenness. After using the Reverse Regimen and obtaining your desired results, if you are extremely diligent about using a sunscreen and limiting exposure to sun, you should be able to maintain your results. However, understand that a single day of unprotected sun exposure can virtually undo months of hard work. Apply sunscreen every day and reapply it every two hours when exposed to sunlight. If you begin to see dull skin developing, return to using the Reverse Regimen.

The Reverse Regimen brightens with Kojic Acid and Bearberry Extract, and also exfoliates skin with Alpha-hydroxy Acids to gently remove dulling, dead skin cells for a smooth, fresh complexion. This assists in lifting the dark skin cells off the skin to help rapidly develop brighter skin. If skin is feeling dry, we suggest incorporating Enhancements Active Hydration Serum into your daily morning and evening Reverse Regimen, applying after Step 2 Reverse Intensive Brightening Toner and/or using Soothe Moisturizing Rescue Cream after Reverse Tone Correcting Treatment at night.

We recommend that you use mild cleansers, moisturizers and sunscreens as you ramp up to using the Reverse Regimen twice a day. Avoid other products containing Retinols, Alpha-hydroxy Acids such as Glycolic, or any scrubs and mechanical brushes, as these can result in irritation. The Soothe Regimen is a good option.

It's not just your face that shows the effects of environmental aging, so don't stop at your neck when applying the Reverse Regimen. Make sure to continue onto your décolletage to help reveal brighter skin. However, be aware that the skin is more delicate in areas such as the neck and décolletage, so you may need to reduce the frequency of use.
